Breast Dress Project: Open for Business

Before any big event, one needs a dress rehearsal.

Through the support of countless women in the community, we were able to secure over 50 wedding dresses and we're finally ready for our 'dress rehearsal'- or more accurately...your dress rehearsal.

Marry Me Productions along with Groovy Linen will be hosting 'soirees' (at Groovy Linen), allowing brides-to-be an opportunity to try on the beautiful dresses in stock.

The soirees will be held April 1, April 20, May 11 and May 25. You can try on the dresses by appointment only, to ensure clients have the attention they deserve. Appointments will be available from 7-8pm and 8-9pm.

To book your appointment, head to The Breast Dress website http://www.thebreastdressproject.ca/ and click on "the dresses" link (to see which dresses you want to be introduced to) and click on "book an appointment TRY IT ON".

All the proceeds from the sale of the dresses will be donated to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. For more information, please visit http://www.thebreastdressproject.ca/ or view our informational video on You Tube; http://tiny.cc/1d6ec

Join the Breast Dress Project Facebook Fan page and follow us on Twitter (links to both on the website) for more up to date news.

Did You Love Molly's Wedding Dress ?

We're assuming you saw Molly and Bachelor Jason's on-air wedding this month on ABC. We absolutely adored her $45,000 strapless Monique L'huillier gown. If the price isn't in your wedding day budget, we have some good news. We have found one very similar at the McCaffrey Haute Couture Flagship Boutique here in Ottawa.

It's the "Surreal" model (aptly named) from their newly released "Illumination" line that we recently blogged about. When we spoke with our contact at the McCaffrey flagship boutique, she told us that brides-to-be have fallen in love with it elsewhere too. When it was featured at the NYC trunk show, it was ordered by 7 Manhattan brides in one weekend.

You can pair the dress with layered diamond necklaces like Molly did, or keep it simple and draw the attention upwards with an almost-sheer cathedral length veil and very simple jewerly.

Visit McCaffrey Haute Couture at 465 Sussex Street or visit the dress on the McCaffrey Haute Couture Fan Page:

Calling all Shoe-a-holics

We know how difficult it can be to find that perfect wedding day shoe. You may find the right colour, but it's not the right size. You may find the right colour and size but it's not the exact toe style you wanted.

We have your solution! Well, we found the website that has your solution. Why not design your own shoe. Now, we are not talking about ordering a shoe online and having it dyed to your perfect colour. We are talking about designing the shoe from the heel height, to the colour to the style to the fabric. And the good news is the company is Canadian so no outrageous shipping fees.

Think about shoes for you, your bridesmaids or even sexy honeymoon shoes.
